As tyranny grows, Americans wait helplessly – Nooganomics. Local economy & free markets

David Tulis (excerpt): Chattanoogans and other Americans love their servitude to commercial government. There is perhaps not a better time it was to weigh way this assertion than the 4th of July weekend. We are supposed to celebrate the 4th to mark constitutional government, our separation from the commercial government of Great Britain and our heritage of independence and self-government. Most people however think little of these blessings in history and consider the 4th of July merely an occasion for vacation, barbecue and fireworks. For those of us who love God and care about His law, today is a good … Continue reading As tyranny grows, Americans wait helplessly – Nooganomics. Local economy & free markets

Slight token of Christianity in public school banned, yet classes full – Nooganomics. Local economy & free markets

Christians in a Southeast Tennessee county are drawing a line in the sand as official atheism consolidates itself, Nooganomics reports. Unwittingly they are finding themselves that their chief opponent is not on the other side of the line, but on the same. Wherever the state has maintained control over an area of government given to the family, the process is like that in Pikeville, Tenn. One can see progress toward dechristianization in Bledsoe County, where a complaint about has brought giveaways Gideon giveaways of the New Testament (with Psalms and Proverbs) to a halt. “By law public schools cannot impose … Continue reading Slight token of Christianity in public school banned, yet classes full – Nooganomics. Christian conservatives pivotal in the South, and feeling under siege

In the South, now the pivotal battlefield of the 2016 presidential campaign, faith and politics walk the aisle together. And while Christians have always dominated American politics – Bernie Sanders this week became the first non-Christian ever to win a presidential primary in U.S. history – conservative Christians feel under siege, McClatchy DC reports. Marriage is being redefined, and they’re being forced to go along. A new health care law mandates free contraception, even if it violates their core beliefs. In South Carolina, white evangelicals account for 51 percent of the likely … Continue reading Christian conservatives pivotal in the South, and feeling under siege

A new lawsuit filed on behalf of several Atheist plaintiffs argues the phrase “In God We Trust” on U.S. money is unconstitutional, and calls for the government to get rid of it, Fox News reports. Sacramento attorney Michael Newdow filed the lawsuit Monday in Akron, Ohio. He’d unsuccessfully sued the government at least twice challenging the use of the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. Throughout much of his lawsuit, the word appears as “G-d.” Newdow claims “In God We Trust” violates the separation of church and state. One plaintiff says his Atheism is “substantially burdened because he … Continue reading Lawsuit demands US remove ‘In God We Trust’ from money
