Who was Jesus?

JESUS IS LOVE, JESUS IS HOLY, JESUS IS GOD, JESUS IS ALIVE

Christ is the son of God. He is part of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He has existed since before time began. Through Him all things were made. He came to earth through virgin birth and was both man and God. He did this so He could relate to our suffering, and to reach us on our level. He died for our sins on the cross, rose again on the third day, and ascended to Heaven. He will return again one day to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.

Jesus is the only way to salvation. He loves everyone. There is nothing you have done or said that is so bad that He will not forgive you and offer salvation if you accept Him. Jesus forgives murderers, prostitutes, liars, everyone. During His time on earth, Jesus personally ministered to adulterers, the sick, the blind and the lame (people who were ostracized in those days, and still are today). Jesus ministered to tax collectors, who were wealthy and powerful and despised by society.

Jesus loves Christians and Jews.

Jesus loves Muslims.

Jesus loves homosexual people and heterosexual people who have sex outside of biblical marriage — everyone.

Jesus wants everyone to be saved. That’s why He allowed Himself to be killed on the cross. He took the punishment that we deserved. God is holy, so someone had to pay the price for sin — and He did. No good works you do will save you; only Jesus can. No other religion, however well-intentioned, can save you. Christians are not the ones who set this rule; Jesus Himself says this in the New Testament. It is also explicit in the Ten Commandments.

John 14:6. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (NIV translation)

Jesus also said in John 6:51: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Elsewhere in the New Testament:

Acts 4:12. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

These are but a few examples of the many passages in Scriptures that signify that Jesus is the only path to salvation. Commandment number one in the Ten Commandments: “You shall have no other gods before me.”
