Central Christian honors public safety workers

For the past four years, Central Christian Church in Bristol, Tennessee has offered thanks to police, fire and rescue workers in the Twin City by serving them a hot meal, the Bristol Herald Courier reports.

“We think our public safety workers are under-appreciated,” pastor Mark Overton said. “There’s a lot going on in the country and we think it’s important for them to know that we think they do a really great job—that’s why we initially started the Public Safety Appreciation Lunch four years ago.”
