A group of Christian Cowboys riding on horseback and carrying a 10 Commandments plaque from Wichita Falls, Texas to Oklahoma City reached the state Capitol Friday morning, KOCO reports.
Pastor John Riggs and his group of riders delivered the miniature plaque to Gov. Mary Fallin.
More than 100 people stood outside to pray.
The 104-mile trek by horse was made difficult despite the rain. Riggs isn’t ruling out doing it again.
Fallin said unlike the controversial 10 Commandment monument, this one will stay on the Capitol grounds. “I told them I would place these 10 Commandments in my personal office,” she said. “It’s a nice historical piece and an art piece. I think I can put a piece of art in my office.”
