Sword of the Lord Publishers is in Murfreesboro. One of their newest titles is “Jed Cartwright and the Comanche Raiders,” written by Ed Dunlop.
In the book, Jed and his sister Mandy are kidnapped in St. Louis by Comanche raiders. They are taken out west and must trust in the Lord for help in their escape. They manage to sneak away from the Comanche’s village on Jed’s black stallion, but will they ever see home again? You’ll have to read the book to find out.
Dunlop is a children’s evangelist whose numerous books are popular with young people and adults alike, according to his profile on Amazon.com.

His ministry involves ventriloquism, Gospel magic, blacklight effects and a variety of other visual media.
“Comanche Raiders” is illustrated in both color and black and white by Keith Neely.

Sword of the Lord also has a new pamphlet available on how to start up bus ministries. “Welcome to the Bus Ministry: An Introductory Guide to the Bus Ministry” is a 21-page booklet. Author Joel Fugate has more than a decade of experience in a bus ministry; he started from the bottom and served in every position, according to his author biography.
The booklet covers these topics: why bus ministries are needed; worker requirements; what to expect; the role of the bus worker; working in a class; and why you should not quit.
“The purpose of bus ministry is to bring to Jesus people who would not be able to come of their own power,” Fugate writes. “There are boys and girls in your neighborhood that would come to church if someone would get them. There are men and women out there that are trapped in a life of sin which has taken away from them everything that they had.”
