The second Tennessee Weekend of Prayer Over Students will take place Aug. 1-2, 2015:
In 2014, First Priority led an initiative to gather parents and community leaders to pray over the campuses of every school in Middle Tennessee. Coordinating with Governor Haslam’s office, a proclamation was established to help accomplish that goal. The results of this one-day event were incredible. Over 1,000 people, at 89 schools united together to pray for students, faculty and administrators.
Due to the profound impact on our communities, First Priority followed-up and asked the Governor to turn this proclamation into law. After a short deliberation in both the State House and Senate, we are proud to announce, on April 24, 2015, Governor Haslam signed this event into law, The Tennessee Weekend of Prayer over Students (#Pray4StudentsTN). Each year on the first weekend of August, a time of Sabbath prayer will be called over every school and every student in our communities.
