Murfreesboro Chick-fil-A donates portion of July 4 sales To Salvation Army building repair

Many Salvation Army volunteers are in tears because of the storm damage that took the roof off their Family Thrift Store, a source of clothing and furniture to the needy and financial support for their cause, WGNS radio reports. The Old Fort Parkway Chick-fil-A to the rescue with “Spirit Day” on Saturday, July 4th. On Independence Day the fast-food restaurant will donate a portion of its sales to the nonprofit.

Chick-fil-A will donate 10 percent of all sales made between 10:30 Saturday morning and 6:00 that evening. The restaurant is located at 2005 Old Fort Parkway just east of the Interstate 24 exit.

Storm Closed Thrift Store

Headquartered at 1137 W. Main St., The Salvation Army in Murfreesboro operated a Family Thrift Store at 125 S. Front St. until strong winds ripped the roof off the building during a storm last week. All of the donated items were ruined and volunteers have been working to clean out the building.
