For about 33 years, as best current school officials can determine, Shelbyville Central High School has held an annual canned food drive, the Times-Gazette reports. The event is a holiday tradition, with the collected cans, boxes and other packages arranged into celebratory designs on the floor of the SCHS gym so that students can see the results of their work on display.
